“thoughtfully equipped”

Wow what a house – it was fully equipped and so very easy to cook in both in the kitchen and on the BBQ. There was a supermarket (Coles) and a bottle shop nearby on Johnston St which was very convenient and we would recommend to go to Queen Victoria Market to get some food treats. There is a great pub around the corner from the house called the Union Club Hotel. Trams are easy to get and you can walk into the city. The beds were amazing – so good in fact that we ordered the same mattress Sealy pillow-top even before we got home. Katrina was excellent throughout the stay and provided a fantastic service.The house was large for 2 children and 2 adults and it was really good to have a garden. The children called it their mini-house but really it was not mini. We also used the house as a base to go to apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road which can be done cheaply with V-line train and bus (sit on the left going out). Also do go and see the Penguins – for free at St Kilda pier – you can get the tram and go at night. All in all 5 star!
“Fantastic place to stay”
We loved it! Fantastic position. Didn’t need a car walking distance to everything. Easy to deal with. This was our second stay and will be back again!
“Everything We Wanted!”
The FitzGeorge was perfect for what we needed. The location was ideal for our stay, being within walking distance to everything and despite being ‘inner-city’ was quiet & peaceful! The townhouse was a great size with a lovely courtyard aspect. Would definitely recommend.

.Townhouse was spacious bright and very private with good courtyard sunny for alfresco dining. Everything required was supplied in the house.

“Fitzgeorge…what a treat!”
Just arrived home after an incredible stay at Fitzgeorge…Wow..what a place,what a position…walked in and out of the city, weaved our way through alleyways ,did many laps of the streets, ate incredible meals, shopped in wonderful shops, slept soundly in the comfort of Fitzgeorge…We will be back! xx 5 of 5 phaedra Aug 22, 2012
“Outstanding”
This was an absolutely brilliant place to stay, just off Gertrude Street, extremely close to the centre of Melbourne. The apartment is down a small side street, but we found it fine to walk around the neighbourhood even late at night – in fact, late at night the neighbourhood is lively and fun, but the apartment is far away from any noise. We travelled with children who loved the space the apartment afforded. The apartment ios comnfortable, stylish and well-equipped. We were able to cook for friends while the children slept upstairs. “Great apartment in central Melbourne location”
FitzGeorge was a great place to stay in a perfect location for Melbourne. The apartment was presented very well, including breakfast provisions that were unexpected. The location is fantastic, a surprisingly quiet street in a busy area of Melbourne. Only a short tram trip away from the city and steps from great restaurants, pubs and shops. Good value for money for 4 people, although the car park is very small.
“Home stay”
Everything was very clean and neat.
The beds were comfortable. Spacious enough for 6 pax.
Location is good, near food outlets (Little Bourke Street).
Just that for large cars like Mpvs, the garage cannot be used. But parking is available just outside the house, with parking permit provided.

We had a fabulous weekend at FitzGeorge. The location is great, very quiet but close to shops, cafes and pubs. The property itself is modern, beautifully furnished/decorated and very well equipped including quality linen and plenty of kitchen equipment. We would definitely stay here again or recommend to others

“It has is all!”
Fitzgeorge was the perfect place for us to stay. Just a hop down to the tram, a skip to oh so many cool cafes, restaurants and funky bars and a jump to some of the best shopping Melbourne has to offer. With really comfy beds, a couch to curl up on, a kitchen to let loose in and a courtyard to soak up that beautiful morning sun with your cuppa, Fitzgeorge had it all! We will definitely be back!!

“We had a fabulous weekend at FitzGeorge. The location is great, very quiet but so close to shops, cafes and pubs. “So good, I want to keep it a secret”
Brilliant. So well set up. Not a single Ikea piece, quality furniture and lovely as well as supremely comfortable decor and bedding. I know next time I need to book FitzGeorge it will be very tough. Thanks Katrina, you have put your head and heart into this and we felt it- a welcome reprieve after a long drive on the Great Ocean Road. Great cafes around the corner, and a supermarket to boot. Loved it. Oh and the BBQ in the courtyard is also a great touch.

“Perfect house for a visit to Melbourne”
This house is a winner! It’s in a great location, very quiet street yet a short walk to cafes and shops. It was generously fitted out with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Extremely comfortable beds and stylish decor. Thanks for lookings after us so well Katrina. We will come again.
